Biography
Louré Bussey always knew what she wanted to be a writer and singer.
During college, she explored her passion for each profession. After
graduation, working in various corporations is what paid the bills. She
strived to give her employers her best. Still, deep down she was hungry to
make her dreams come true.
While honing her vocal talent in recording studios with gifted musicians,
she learned to compose R&B, pop, jazz, and gospel music. She also wrote a
short story about a young, psychic woman, which she sold to a romance
confession magazine. It led to the publication of fifty-six short stories.
After spending one summer writing her first novel, Louré was ecstatic
when an editor from a major publishing house offered her a two-book
contract. Now, an award-winning, best-selling author of fourteen novels and
two novellas, her steamy, thrilling page-turners are highly acclaimed by
readers and reviewers. For each each story, Louré creates a song.
Many of the tunes are on her forthcoming debut CD “Dreams Do Come
True.” Her other successes include the feature of her music on cable
television. Two contest wins for her original screenplay, The Secrets of
Westbridge, a sexy thriller, has stirred another of her deep desires, to see her
stories adapted to the big or little screen. Currently, she is working on film
projects.
An entrepreneur as well as a creative spirit, Louré has launched a new
publishing company, Allura Publishing, which produces romance and
mainstream fiction. She has also parlayed her love of fashion and design into
an upcoming line of women’s clothing, Designs By Loure'. She has developed a
brand of children’s products, which will make their debut in 2010.
Additionally, she is the creator of the site LoveToWriteBooks.com. Louré
has appeared on radio and television, and in newspapers and magazines. She is
a member of The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.
